Harshaal Kumaar didn't study the UAE's rise from the outside. He lived it from the inside.

Born and raised in the Emirates to parents who arrived in 1975, he is in every sense a son of the soil. He grew up watching the UAE transform from a regional economy into one of the world's most respected business destinations. That formative experience gave him something no classroom can teach — an instinctive understanding of the country's values, its regulatory architecture, and the ambition that runs through its institutions.

In the early 1990s, Harshaal pursued schooling in Canada, an environment where Western governance and long-term structural thinking were deeply ingrained. His international formation continued into the early 2000s in the United Kingdom, where he earned a degree in Business Management with majors in Finance and Marketing from the University of Lincolnshire & Humberside.

This was the beginning of a worldview that would define Consult Kumar®: compliance first, speed second. Structure before scale.

Before founding his own firm, Harshaal built his foundation at three of the world's most respected institutions: American Express, Zurich Financial Services (Eagle Star), and Sainsbury's UK. These roles gave him firsthand experience in regulated environments, institutional decision-making, and large-scale operational discipline.

The lesson he took from that era still drives the firm today: credibility is the most valuable currency in professional services. Cutting corners is not a strategy — it is a liability.

The seeds of Consult Kumar® were sown around 2007–2008. Working in media and marketing through his earlier venture, Team Square Advertising, Harshaal was introduced to one of the UAE's leading free trade zones. What began as exposure quickly became mastery — the nuances of free zone jurisdictions, compliance frameworks, and the operational factors that determine whether a company survives its first year or builds a decade-long legacy.

Over the following years, that learning expanded across multiple UAE free zones and through international roadshows spanning Asia, Europe, and North America. These missions reinforced a conviction that remains central to his approach: the UAE is not merely a jurisdiction. It is the central bridge between East and West — a platform where the world's ambitions converge.

When he founded Consult Kumar® in 2010, it was to fill a gap he saw clearly. Most service providers in the market focused on entry — the quick setup, the fast license. Very few built for endurance.
